When I was a little girl a kind neighbor gave us his daughter's old dollhouse. She had grown up and moved away from home and the little house was just collecting dust in the garage. My three sisters and I probably spent more time fixing up, decorating, and playing with that wooden dollhouse than any other toy we ever owned.
My love of dollhouses is apparent in the fact that my 6-year-old owns four dollhouses already. I'm sure if I had the space I would continue to acquire these little houses until I had a whole city.
This year there are lots of fun houses to choose from. While I can't imagine plunking down $699 for the Park palace Hotel (and that doesn't include the furniture or dolls), it sure is fun to look at. I'm leaning more towards the Woodland Tree House since we're really into fairies and little animals this year. Whichever you choose I'm sure will bring years of happy imaginative play.
